A life-long Democrat who can connect our values with various members and
communities throughout Texas.
  • Proven Leader.  25-year military aviation career, retired a Colonel after commanding troops in combat zones, leading postwar reconstruction in Iraq, and changing military's sexual assault policies. Director of Human Resources, Dallas ISD, second largest school district in Texas, and twice elected to serve on local School District Board of Trustees--recognized as Texas School Board of the Year.

  • Champion for Change.  Committed to equality for women as past CEO of Grace After Fire, leading the non-profit that helped thousands of female veterans transition back to civilian life and access to care.  Passion for helping women and veterans led to her induction into the Texas Women's Hall of Fame.

  • Progressive Values.  Founder WomenWin, a Political Action Committee that funded, trained and supported over 100 Texas women candidates for the last 3 election cycles and provided training for scores of women nationwide. Serves on the board of Annie’s List and several minority and veteran focused boards.

  • Coalition Builder.  Statewide race for Agriculture Commissioner traveled to 244 Texas counties, setting a voter record for Democratic women and garnering broad popularity that continues today.  Her 2020 Congressional campaign raised millions of dollars and surged voter registration and turnout.
